Sorry.....

I have not had time to post any pictures or update anyone. Since I'm at work I can't get any pictures up. I will as soon as I have time.

The kids are doing great.
Tallyn had two games this past weekend. Like I said before it has not been the best season. This weekend made up for the entire season. They lost the first game by 4 points but the boys played so well together. They pulled out all these plays and awesome shots. I think Tallyn found his niche, he played defense so well. The second game they won by 2 points. It was a really good game. Is it wrong to like hearing "get 23!!! hit 23 in the chest!!! stay on 23!!" Did I mention Tallyn is 23? One more game then it is off to the tournament. When I get a chance I will put up his team picture.

Rebel is a master texter. I think he has forgotten how to communicate using words. He spent the weekend at church they had"vintage weekend". They do this every couple of months. He really likes his youth pastors, he is helping one of them move next weekend. He is still trying to talk me into letting him go to the movies with a group of friends that his girlfriend happens to be going with. I can't remember when I got to start going out with a group of friends but he can't for a while longer. Again, I'm ruining his life. I'm getting pretty good at that.

Ellie...what can I say? She is Ellie. She is feeling much better than she did. Her rash only lasted a couple more days. She is getting ready for her ballet recital. They will have their fitting next week ,I think. All the little girls look so sweet doing their little dance. They will not have the show until May.

We are excited to go see Granny on Spring Break. Other than that we are just busy with the kids. I will try and get some pictures up as soon as I have a chance.

If any of what I said makes no sense it is because my boss' grandson is behind me and making so much noise playing with tools and trying to make music that I can hardly think. He's 24 and he is louder than the kids.
When the tornado hit yesterday and we took all the kids in shelter I was holding Ellie and noticed she looked splotchy so I looked at her belly and it was covered in bumps. So I thought she had the chicken pox and was infecting all the people around us. I could not take her to the Dr. because that side of town was being hit really hard and there was no way to leave. So I got her in first thing this morning and he said it was not the chicken pox. She is allergic to penicillin. She was given that for pink eye. I knew I should have pushed for the eye drops but who knew. Anyway now we know that she will have a reaction and to not treat her with that. She looks worse than she feels. She has been a really big girl about the whole thing.

It was look alike day at church and the kids were supposed to bring someone that looked like them. Tallyn took his friend Mike because everyone thinks they are brothers at church anyway. He goes with us every Wednesday.

Update on kids

Ellie:
She is still getting up in the middle of the night to get in bed with us. At least she goes to bed in her bed.
She loves the movie The Nutcracker..the barbie one. However, she calls it The Nutcrack and cannot understand why that is funny.
She just got over pink eye but we are still on the medication. One of the joys of going to daycare. Like the rest of us she is ready to wear flip flops again so we are waiting for summer already. It only took one ice storm.

Tallyn:
He did much better this last game. They still lost 21-15. Tallyn scored 5 points.
He is excited about a boys lock in at the end of the month. I think there are like 8 or 10 of his friends going.
He had a great report card...principals honor roll.
He is looking forward to spring break and warmer weather so he can skate.

Rebel:
He also had a great report card. He got a C in science which kept him off the honor roll but still some great grades.
He has another girlfriend...this is exhausting.
He is still doing great at guitar lessons. The instructor parks far away from my car now.
He has a lock in at the church at the end of the month also.
He is putting effort into not having the crappiest attitude around...that is what he says anyway.
He is also ready for his spring break...any reason not to go to school.
He would kill me if he read this but.....he is getting a hint of a mustache. This is all coming way to fast!!

All in all we are just staying busy.

OH!! Jeff passed his level II electrical test making him a IE Tech II. We are all really proud of him. It was a long year of studying.

Flag football

Our church had a flag football game today after church... Jeff is the one in the white shorts and red shirt. There were 6 teams of guys. They all had a lot of fun. I'm sure most of them are home now with ice packs watching other guys play football!

Ice Storm

We were iced in for a few days and loved every minuet of it. I think I gained 10 lbs because we baked so much sweet stuff. We played a lot of Wii (Jeff is a pro bowler now) and Guitar Hero.

I finished "Eclipse" and started "Breaking Dawn". I can't believe I got addicted to that series but I did and I love the Cullens!!

Some random pictures from the last couple weeks.

Tallyn...I took him to the gym with me for the first time today. He had a great time, I did not think I would be able to make him leave, he wanted to try EVERY machine. He decided to go with us on a regular basis now. He says that he will get up at 4am and go with Jeff in the mornings..we'll see how that goes.

Ellie and Daddy

He gets more handsome the older he gets. How come it works like that for guys??
The boys love to go to the Mathis Brothers skate park on the weekends. There is another family that has boys the same age that skate so we take turns taking the boys. This time Ellie and I walked around the trail...Ok we walked for 1/2 a mile and she sat on my shoulders for the other 1/2. We will take her bike next time. It drives Jeff crazy that I won't let him skate with the boys. We don't need a third back surgery!!

We went from light brown to light brown with a blonde streak to dark brown all in one weekend.

Rebel's guitar lessons

We finally got Rebel started on his lessons. I found a guy who is in a heavy metal band here in OKC to give him lessons. Reb thinks he is "really cool". He is practicing alot and enjoying himself.
The fact that he is learning on the music that he likes helps. I think I am beginning to develop a twitch...what we will endure for our kids.

I will add that during his last practice I was leaving the house to take Tallyn to bball practice and I hit the guitar teacher's car. His was not to bad but we are replacing a fender on our car. I have never claimed to be a great driver but I'm even worse at backing up!

Tallyn's game update

I'll start off by saying "we've done better". We have lost the last two games. The game before last was 34-4. The team we played was amazing to watch. They handled the ball so well. Poor boys we didn't have a chance with them.

This weekend we did better but not until the 4th quarter. We turned the ball over countless times and the boys were tripping all over themselves. In the 4th we did come back and scored 8 points in the last 3 minuets. The score was 28-17.

The boys are great friends and they have so much fun playing together...that is really what matters. However, I do like it when our game is on!!
We curled Ellie's hair the other day and she LOVED it. We have curled it before for Amber's wedding but it's not something we do since it falls out ASAP! Since she is a ham to the extreme she thought we needed to do a "photo shoot".

We went to spend the weekend with my dad. It is always weird going to BF since that is where I grew up...until I was 16 any way. I never run into anyone because my dad lives in the country. My dad keeps me posted on some of the town gossip, small towns never change.

My cousin Crystal just had her 2nd baby, Bradin...not sure of the spelling.

Keep my aunt Mary in your prayers...her granddaughter who was 16 was killed in a car wreck on New Years Eve.

My Dad's Place

We spent New Years Eve with Brenda and Troy. We played the Wii and ate way to much junk food. I fell asleep on the couch with Ellie. Mama and Pops left before midnight. Jeff and I were asleep in bed when it turned into 2009. Tallyn came in the room and gave me a New Years kiss. I think the boys went to bed around 1:AM. We are a wild bunch!!

I do have to add that Rebel spent the majority of the night mad at me....I ruined his life!!! I guess they had a lock in at the skating rink and I would not let him go. I called there to get some details..I was never going to let him go but I needed amo for the argument. There was no age limit, or capacity limit. They said that the normal staff (teenagers) would be there with "the" security guard. Notice that is singular. Ok so here it was...there would be tons of kids from 8 and up, adults that were not working could be there and security was lax. I am a horrible mother who does not care about the social life of a teenager. I guess I just don't understand...I was NEVER 13.

Happy New Year!!!!

I took these around 10:AM. As you can see it is a perfect example of everyones personality!!
