A summer update

Jeff relaxing at the B&B. It was really nice to get away for the weekend. Since I hardly ever leave the kids I was ready to see them by Sunday. This was the first weekend we have had since we have been married.

Before we took the kids to Troy and Brenda's for the weekend we all went to Frontier City. Jeff and I decided that our stomachs don't handle the rides like they used to.
I was trying to get Rebel to smile but Jeff started saying something silly to him and he just cracked up. I love..love..love his smile.

I feel like this summer is just flying by. I have no idea where all the time went. We are going to see mom in August and that will only be the 2nd time this summer. It seems like our weekends have been full of something or another all summer long. Everyone tells me the older the kids get the faster time goes...I'm not liking that at all.
Summer is moving along very fast. I can't believe we are already into the end of July!

Jeff and I will be celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We are looking forward to a weekend alone. Troy and Brenda are keeping the kids for us and we have a bed and breakfast downtown we will be staying at.

Jeff leaves in 2 weeks for training in Houston. He is very excited to be learning what ever it is he will be learning...all that stuff is over my head. We will miss him but I'm so glad he has the opportunity to go.

Ellie is planning her birthday...she will be 4 in August. It makes me sad that all my babies are growing up.

Rebel and Tallyn are just going non stop. Movies, skating rink, skate park, White Water, Frontier City, and anything else that comes along. When we are not shuttling them around we are parked at the pool. The boys have decided on MMA training. Tallyn decided to wait till Jr. High to play football.

We will be going to see mom while Jeff is out of town so we are looking forward to that. We miss everyone and I will try and get some pictures up soon.
Rebel and one of his really good friends, Ben. They are off at Falls Creek, having a blast I'm sure.

Tallyn's baseball team won a contest that had Braums cater a party in the park for the team and was broadcast on the news. The had a good time and got to get their coach with pies in the face on TV. Baseball is over and now we can't decide if we are going to play football or start MMA. I told him it is his decision but we have to decide this week so we can sign up for football in time if that is what he chooses. I'll let you know more later...

We cut Ellie's hair into a little bob. Sorry I'll get after pictures up soon. For the record, it's super cute!!!

Wedding

We went to a wedding of Jeff's cousin Eric in Texas. Ellie was a ham the whole time.
Ellie and Mackie (Jeff's cousin Jennifer's little girl) Talk about a couple of messes.

Dustin's visit

We were so glad to see Dustin. He looks amazing and has grown up so much. I have never been so proud of him. Jimmy took us to the Big Texas for dinner to celebrate his visit. There was a guy there that finished the 72 oz steak meal while we were there. Tallyn was amazed!

Mom was working so Jimmy brought Dustin straight to the store. She teared up immediately and showed off her son.

We went to Roman Nose for Jeff's company picnic again this year.

Tallyn left for church camp today. I did get these up pronto because I miss him so much already.

Tallyn, Zach, and Myles. They have the kids grouped into small groups and that is who they sit with in chapel and do their bible studies with. This is Tallyn's small group. They are such good boys.

I did not get a picture of Tallyn in the talent show but he did the cha-cha with a girl in his class. It was an assigned dance but he did a great job.
Ellis's first allowance for cleaning her room.

Marley ..  our newest family member and she had the name when we got her so we chose not to change it since she is 3 years old.
Ellie's ballet recital was this weekend. She had a great time and remembered her dance. I was not sure if she would since this is the first time she has ever been in front of a crowd. She did say that she was glad ballet was over. She did not like going on Saturday mornings. If we do that again or choose something else we will not do anything on the weekends.

Ok, if you click on the picture and make it larger you might be able to see why Rebel thinks it is time to start shaving.

Update

I told my mom that I would get some pictures up today. We have been so busy that I have not taken a single picture in weeks. So, when we got home Ellie wanted to play outside so I snapped a few shots for her.

Ellie will start pre-k next year. They do it weird here in Yukon. There are so many spots and in order to get your child in you have to stand in line and it is a first come first spot. It is like an event. Me and a friend of mine met that morning and set up shop. We waited in line for 7 hours!!! We were close to the front but I heard there were spot snatchers toward the back. It's done and she is super excited about "big" school.

Tallyn will be in the 5th grade so he will be the oldest class in school. He thinks that is really cool. Plus, last year of grade school then Jr. High for him!!He has been having a blast in baseball they are 4/0. They will play till the end of June. He will go to church camp the beginning of June. It turns out he will go to the same one I did at his age. It is crazy how both the boys camps are the same as mine were. We have not decided on what basketball camp to go to. He wants to go to skate camp...not even! I checked and they are so expensive. If anyone knows of one close to us and not over priced let me know.

Rebel will be in the 8th grade. Last year of Jr.high! That means high school is 1 year away! How is that even possible? We will just stay on the fact that he is not there yet and won't be for a year. He keeps reminding that he will get his drivers permit in 1 1/2 years.  Hey Jimmy...wanna teach him to drive! lol Anyway he's just growing up and like I have said for a while now he is very interested in girls. My problem is the older he gets the older they get if you get my drift.
He will go to Falls Creek in July and we are hoping to get him some summer jobs. Mowing, cleaning garages, pulling weeds what ever he can find. He wants more than we give for allowance go he will have to make it himself.

There is your update on the kids..miss you all!!!

Playing in the rain

Ellie loves to park her daddy's work truck with him.

She wanted to wear her hat like bubba
She had a little sugar
Tallyn before he ran off with friends
Gave up on shoes and hit every puddle on our street

She makes the best faces. This was actually a pose.

Ok, so Ellie wanted to jump in the mud so we went outside and our flowerbed has wood chips in it so there was no mud. We noticed that the house next door that no one has lived in for 2 years now had mud. Soooo yeah

Rebel's new favorite toy is one of Ellie's rubber balls. When I went to the store the other day he asked for one of his own. He plays with this stinkin' ball all the time. If $1 could go this far all the time it would be great! Yes the kids also play in the driveway of the house next door...hmmm wonder why no one wants to move there?
