Voyage Ministries

I just added a link on my blog list (Dave). He is a guy that came to our bible study the other day. I had heard of him and knew he taught several classes at church but had not met him. He had so much to say and later he told me about his blog. I added it because it is worth reading. He is teaching a class on Revelations in December and Jeff and I plan to go. That is one book that kinda scares me to study so we will see. Anyway I hope you give it a chance and read it...he updates regularly.
Here are a few pictures. Tallyn was not in a good mood so it made for a hard day.

Women of Faith 2008

I had an amazing weekend at Women of Faith Conference this weekend. This was my first one to attend and I hope there will be many more to come. I went with our pastor's wife and a few other girls from our Monday group. It was a little strange because I was the only one under the age of 55. What does age matter...we had a blast!

I saw a girl, Kassie, that Jeff and I went to HS with. It was nice to see a familiar face in such a big group of ladies. I hope we will be able to stay in touch.

I hope to have family pictures up soon. We should have them taken tomorrow as long as Ellie is feeling better. She has had a cough the last couple of days.

Rebel's 13

OK, so now I have a teenager!! He is fitting title pretty good already. On his birthday he just wanted to go watch some horror movie with a few friends then go to the skating rink (I hear to meet up with girls). He said he had fun but of course he said it without an ounce of emotion.

When we had family birthday night he asked for cherry cheesecake instead of the typical birthday cake and chicken cordon blue. Jeff was happy last year he picked salmon and Jeff hates fish.

He has set a record....all his birthday money is still in his wallet!!!! He can't decide what to spend it on. We all know he can't save it!

There you have it....Rebel is 13....GASP!!!!!!

We spent a day at home for once. There are a group of boys that come over and they will all skate. Since it was a nice day they took their old boards and went grass surfing. It was nice not to have to be anywhere.

We went shopping for some fall clothes and she
loved the hats. I thought she looked so
cute!!

We went to see my dad over the weekend. It was
VERY windy outside.

Shana and her kids were in town for a visit.
I so wish we lived closer together, the kids have
so much fun when they get a chance to see each other.

Can you say headache??
PJ Day at school
Since they are all stripes it matches right??
Tallyn has been saving his allowance forever
to get a new board. We went to so many different
skate shops to get all the right parts. This was
his very first board to build himself.

I told you that she can be sweet

I try and get something up every week for Mom, Debbie and Amber. I will do my best but it may just be a few pictures here and there. Love you guys..thanks for caring enough to check up on us.
We took the kids to Lake Hefner just to hang out
for the afternoon and take a break form the nonstop
going. We watched some people flying kites, the kids
seemed to enjoy that. Ellie and Tallyn would
pet almost every dog that walked by. It was a
peaceful afternoon.

Ellie saw a spider and got Dad to check it out

A little holiday info

Fall is here and I think this is the busiest time for everyone. Both boys birthdays are coming up then Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tallyn will start basketball soon and I am very much looking forward to that. This is absolutely my favorite time of year, I think I function better if I'm busy.

We plan on going back to Texas to have Thanksgiving with the Brazell clan in Dumas. It will be good to see everyone. We don't see each other much anymore. Not to mention there will be a new baby to love on!!!

Christmas will be at my house this year. No, I'm not freaking out at all. I really am but it will all work out. Jeff demolished most of my Christmas decorations in the move to OK. I also think a few boxes never made to to my house. Hobby Lobby here I come!! We have family coming from California to New Hampshire and plenty of places in between. The more the merrier. I hope everyone can make it. Plus my mom will be making her stuffing YUM! One thing is for certain, our Christmas will have Christ involved. What would be the point of any of this otherwise??

Have a great season!!!!!
Ellie started her very first ballet/tap class this week.
I was not sure it would be a go at first. She refused to
go into the room. We sat outside and look at
the photos of the pretty outfits that all the girls
were wearing. Then she heard "The Little Mermaid"
and thought it might be worth a try. She walked into
the room like a big girl and pulled the door shut. All
the moms have to sit outside the room in the lobby. I
could peek through the blinds at her every so often to
check on her and she was having a blast. She said that
she wanted to dance everyday. She will have to settle
for every Saturday. We will see how it goes.
